Crazy Mary
On the way home from Barnes and Noble tonight my mom and I got stopped by Crazy Mary. Her dog was running around in the street and she thought my mom was going to hit it. (Oh that would have been amazing! Human casualties would have been a possibility but nonetheless…) Crazy Mary is the crazy lady that lives in the house next to Arlanza Elementary School. When I was in 7th grade I was walking home from school with Desiree and we decided to take the shortcut down Rutland instead of going the extra 2 miles to go down Wells to Van Buren. We knew it was a risk because Mary was at her craziest when school was letting out. As we came closer to her house we could hear her yelling at no one again. Only on this particular day as we passed she came out of her house holding a butcher knife! She chased Desiree and me all the way to Del Taco (about 3 blocks) where she was stopped by a good Samaritan that somehow managed to calm her down while we skidded down the street. Yeah, she’s a bit of a Boo Radley, only scarier. It would have been funny if she had hit that dog. I would have died laughing… literally!!!
you would’ve had to take pictures so we all could get a good giggle. 😉
